Description
Here are a couple of the small farms that are located in the Swiss Alps. I saw these views as the cog train took me up. These little farms are usually government subsidized, but they add so much to the charm of Switzerland that the Swiss people do not seem to mind. These farmers help give a well-groomed look to the mountain pastures and as you can see much of the work is done by hand. As for the cows, well, if you have ever eaten Swiss cheese you know why they are important :)

I like your selection of these beautiful scenes. I think the cattle is helping the farmers to maintain the well-groomed look of the region. Fantastic scenes.
