Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

You don't say how large these are but it looks like you put a lot of work into them. What a wonderful imagination you have.

I love how Ana always calls people in conversation "in bla-bla"...I love that expression! And they are: You did a great job on the mouths, they really do look like they're in dialogue. But you did a great job period. Terrific detail and very visceral 'scales' and mane, and I love those sculpted eyes, as if you let the irises come into our space. Putting it against black---either back then or in your recent rescue of the slides---was just right for these jewel-like pieces. Great to see your sculpture and ceramic work, I never tire of it; and it's great when newer fans get to see it for the first time too. Wonderful, classy, elegant, and even playful. Beautiful work.
(I was about to move to the next image, but I decided to add something: Since I'm getting to the end of this session, may I do something I never do? I never 'hawk' pieces of mine, but I just have to ask if you'd just look at something. I mentioned it in an upload, ie, the talk about not having done figure drawing in eons, and how hard it was for me. ((I really struggled with it.)) Well, you do wonderful figure work in 2D and in sculpture, etc, and I'd love it if you could just look at mine. You don't have to comment, and you don't have to read the dedi---just look at the image, is that ok to ask? Several people didn't get the ebot, and as you taught, I'd love it if you'd just glance. So you know: It's supposed to be a mythic figure, and it's drawn from a few ballet photos, which I altered to my taste, added a mask, etc. The link's here...https://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/spirit-dancer---h-birthday-yves-/2665048. I rarely ask this, so don't think I'm being a salesman by asking...I just would like you to see it, if you wanted to...The treatment's clearest in zoom ((ink and PS)))
