Description
These carriages were fairly common sights in Vienna. It kind of looks like the passenger in the carriage is taking a picture of me, but I'm guessing there was something far more interesting behind me...

It's a pretty carriage, too bad we don't use these instead of noisy smelly cars! Lovely shot!

What a fun shot! The person in the carriage may have made the same comment about their photo if they posted it. It would be really funny if they ended up posting it here and you saw each other's pictures. My fanciful imagination runs away with me again.

love Katherine's art-within-art scenario...and I'd have loved to see this shot from 1880, or even 1780: some guy with a Canon Rebel, taking shots of you...Anyway, you've given us the building with high key green-yellow-whites, and it lets the carriage and people stand out in relief. The angle of the road is a nice counterpoint to the mostly straight lines of the rest of the shot. A fascinating study in lines, light and dark, which somehow lifts this very old sight into a modern abstract. I love the contrasts here. And the lamps move in an angle opposite to that of the road-lines...
