Description
No: "Pareidolia" isn't a medical condition:
It's when you see faces and patterns in an object, when they're not actually there.
Harry (goodoleboy) introduced me to this word: So I thought it fitting for this upload...
Tomorrow (Monday), Harry's having eye surgery. This is on top of months of paralyzing back pain and other health problems that would've landed me in bed. He's plowed through with remarkable resolve (with all that drought and heat); so I wanted to cry: "All my best tomorrow, Harry! May it go as smoothly as possible, and may you have much better sight when it's over!"
You've braved these things like a lion---it's time they pay you back in kind.
The image is another drawing, transformed in Photoshop. (Feel free to see faces...)
Total success to you tomorrow, Harry! You deserve it all
(and I left the drawing 'cool', to cool you off!)
Mark
(I'm away from RR due to arm treatments, and a dying computer. But my computer sends its wishes too: Heal quickly and come back soon, H!!!)
Much bigger, zoomed.

wonderful image (though it seems to be an MRI of someone's pelvic region) and a thoughtful dedication to Harry. I do not know how this MRI of the pelvic region is related to an eye surgery but I'll take your word on it. My best thoughts and prayers to Harry and you for successful treatments

Yes, I also see the MRI, but there seems to be some kind of "condition" there...maybe they're going to retrieve Harry's 20-20 vision from where gravity has pulled it? I feel like mine's going "downhill" too sometimes. Best wishes for the surgery tomorrow, Harry, and hope to see you on the other side of it seeing better than the rest of us!

Great dedi,. There is something of absolutely not understandable in this image that fascinates me !!

Well I guess I'm the odd one out (like THAT'S never happened). I definitely see a winged creature, perhaps an insect. A pretty spectacular image.
Good luck to you, Harry. I hope its no worse than cataract surgery. Perhaps they can give you x-ray vision while they are working on you.

A most intriguing image, like seeing the inner soul of this giant winged creature and the colors have the gorgeous glow of being from another universe. I do wish Harry a successful operation and a speedy recovery.

This image is electric - I can see pulses of lightning running through it. Yes I can see faces - particularly a bird with an intense gaze near the top - but it works perfectly well as a pure abstract vortex of energy. Outstanding.
And good luck to Harry with his surgery...

Love this image a lot Mark:)It is Wonderful and challenging to imagination. I see a world here. I can see a rich Cathedral in top and a 'totem' from top to bottom in the center and 2 couples at bottom that seem dancing.... But what i love more here, is the mystery that your image brings in it's own. With a strong flight, it emerges from the darkness in great light with wonderful blues and pinks and with the transparency of a spirit and its whispers...and wings? Yes, your image has everything that we want to see! She is fabulous and perfect for Harry. I wish him great healing in the procedure he did today and that all his health problems can be less heavy each day.

This is breathtaking, Mark! A gorgeous and thoughtful dedication to Harry. May his surgery be successful, and healing be quick.
When I look at this, I am looking straight down at a magnificent, blue-winged dragon. A good dragon, winging its way to give strength to Harry, and all who are in pain. Hope your arm treatments go well, my friend!

I'm back! Well, at least for this one posting. I want to express my deepest thanks to you, Mark, for this fine realization of pareidolia (a subject which I love) in recognition of my now past eye surgery. I'm so tired. And tons of thanks and gratitude to the members above who expressed their best wishes to me via this super dedication. Hopefully I'm on the mend, despite the less than welcome aftereffects. It'll take a while before I'm up to my old photo posting and commenting self. As for the image itself, I see a huge bear of some sort wearing a uniform, armed with four scythes, all frozen in blue ice. Either that, or it's the blurry X-ray or MRI of a pelvis and sacrum.

Beautiful work .. I see an angle

Running late or commenting late, has also it's advantages - namely, here I have the opportunities of reading everyone else's thoughts, what they visualize - before me... and now I am forming my own by, what I am seeing here and also thought right from the moment I scrolled any further and actually read them...
It's actually is the opposite of and a "COLD" version of the movie: 'Ghostrider' with Nicolas Cage, where you can spot him on a flaming bike - flying through the air, and if you have never ever seen it (?), it's a treat for the senses ! I am not necessarily speaking of the film, but of the visual stimulation, just like this 'Pareidolia' for your friend Harry. I also like to add, Nic could be 'flying through water', because I can see all those air-bubbles surrounding him - and with an icy stare wearing iced-up goggles... and now you are laughing at me with my daydreaming vision - well there you go, I can take it - I'm a big gal now oh and by the way - it's a real cool dedi !!!
