Description
I've been offline due to a major computer failure, and so haven't seen any of your uploads.
But tonight I was glancing, and saw that Denise (MrsRatbag) had a kidney procedure which was very painful and debilitating. Denise: I'm sorry I hadn't noticed before---I just wasn't online. I'm terribly sorry you had to undergo this unexpectedly painful procedure, and you've been laid up because of it. On top of all the changes you're going through...
It was time I posted this anyway, because Denise has done so much that many of us would find difficult...from health matters to caring for her parents, to the huge stress of losing a job and looking for another, to her hours, and so on...all of which she's shared with unassuming grace, never complaining and still coming to our galleries to give her always loving and supportive comments. I've known Denise for a few years, and I've rarely felt anything from her but hope, love, and kindness. And as an artist, she's one of our best.
Feel better soon, Denise: You deserve things going your way. I made this "slide thing"---a glimpse into the inner world of nature (like what you do in your lab); and I wanted to evoke the old tale of a person who looks into a microscope and sees their soul...that you would look in the lens and see how beautiful you are. Not that this image is beautiful, but that you are, and I tried to evoke that in this art...
I wish you great healing and the deepest hugs, and may this pain and struggle go away for good
you wholly deserve it,
Mark

Colorful, beautiful and, as always, very creative. I imagine a butterfly in the upper right hiding in some sort of foliage. Denise had kept us posted and, thankfully, is on the mend.

Aww, Mark, thank you SO much for this incredibly beautiful and moving dedication! What a stunning combination of colour, texture, line and depth; there are layers upon layers of different realities here, my favourite vision. I know I say this a lot, but really this would be a breathtaking fabric wall hanging, out of different silks and velvets perhaps, with sheer chiffon bits fluttering in the breeze. I see it so clearly in my mind, I may even have to attempt to bring it to fruition if I ever have a place to work on it that's got the space. Your talent and selflessness bring me such joy, thank you from the bottom of my heart for this beauty!

What a lovely image and message for Denise. It is vibrant and full of life, with, as you say, an inner life as well. I've just had the pleasure of browsing Denise's gallery and this is such a fitting artwork for her because her images are like walking through an amazing garden, seen up close and in such an intimate view. Which tells so much about the heart and soul of the person taking the photos. I do hope life moves in a more positive way for Denise, as she always gives so much to others.

What wonderful image, filled with life and joyful colors for Denise, that reaches the target totally, Mark! So well-deserved ! I see this lens transformed into a window and through it, you can see all the beauty and feel the 'breeze'' of being in a 'garden of wonders'. Denise has built many 'gardens' with the delicacy and the beauty of her work... I would like that Denise could be 'Alice' and get rid of all her burdens . I send my wishes for her to get better as soon as possible from his health problem, because kidneys are so painful ! The very best for YOu Denise and take care!

A splendid and very eye catching image for Denise, I'm sure she will love this one. Excellent framing that draws your eye right into the picture and some natural shapes to make it so interesting. Excellent work.

Ditto, Mark, in this poignant dedication to our Denise. I couldn't have said it any better. In fact, I'm positive I couldn't have said it any better. She is the very quintessence of kindness, fortitude, talent, empathy, and responsibility. Oh, and I'm really not in the mood for pareidolia at this time, so I'll just say a capital, well conceived, and colorful piece of art you conjured up here, my friend.

Mark, I was truly moved by this lovely and thoughtful dedication you created for you're friend Denise. So sorry to hear she is going through this and will put her in my prayers. Also let me say how upsetting it was to learn that you had a major computer failure, and hopefully things are back on track now, as this community need you're uplifting spirit. In all honesty after commenting on this upload I'll be hiding under my bed for a bit, as the last couple of attempts I've made at coming back to the gallery were followed up with a disaster striking. lol This last one being an eye injury that has had me going through two surgeries in the last couple of months.

This draws you in and takes you away to a place of wild color and dance and joy!! And for Denise, who so quietly shares her life and her art with us and who deserves so much more.
