Description

Greetings all. Today i offer you Rolf, a character created by Mortem Vetus over in RDNA land. The background castle is a freebee from Mortem Vetus also, for which I am very grateful . This render was done in REALTY but I was pleased that this guy rendered without modification under Superfly as well. The sky was rendered in VUE which is another tool I love but have greatly neglected as of late due to some computer issues. From battle scarred old Rolf you can see that Michael 4 from DAZ has come a long way. No longer the dapper young blade DAZ gave us years ago. Well you will definitely see more of him rendered with both engines in the near future. Thank you for the visits and the comments. I greatly enjoy each, along with viewing your wonderful works.

He looks amazing! A bit battle scarred, hopefully wiser! (that castle is an awesome freebie, too) IMO Vue is quite fussy and crashes if you blink, but it may have been my configuration of Windows and other things. I finally had to part ways with it!

IMO... you are mostly correct about VUE. It is cranky, hard to configure, and very particular about its Windows OS environment. That being said, it also creates some wonderful landscapes and mats which is why I put up with its general nastiness.

Excellent pose and setting. You might want to revisit this basic set-up with some different camera angles/focal lengths as I have a hunch that Rolf's current pose would lend itself to many strong angles. Like you, I am a big fan of MV's M4 characters. They really take M4 places that I'd never imagine given the base figure.
