Description
Just one of 38 shots I took of this particular variety, captured back on 8/8/09, inside the beautiful Desert Garden of the beautiful Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens, in beautiful San Marino, California.
I had completely forgotten about this Desert Garden folder, consisting of 269 photographs in all. To paraphrase the fabled Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe, I have so many pictures I don't know what to do.

A beautiful capture of these amazing plants. I grow some succulents but I draw the line at these prickly specimens, roses are bad enough. 😊

Aha! A child-sitter for little brats (if I may harken back to your tiger post!). Nice photo. So many pics? Well, you won't be lacking for posts for a good while. What does that break down to? A bit less than one a day. Well, guess we get to familiarize ourselves with a wide variety desert plants! Keep up the good work! :-)

WOW! These cacti looks fantastic. I actually like cacti, but I dont dare having them in the house anymore.

We use Cacti including one golden barrel around the pool area where it gets very hot in the summer Florida sun. They seem to like it though.

Like these cacti, they are resistant and need a modest care

How cool, this row of big cacti! With all the wetness we've had this year they wouldn't look so healthy if they were up here...great shot, and glad you found the folder. And one of my nieces posted an announcement on Facebook that there's a cherry blossom festival at Descanso Gardens on March 12, if you're interested/able to make it...
