I thought this would be a tough one to solve. However, some of you got it right.
The photo is a hint.
If you still don't get it, here's the solution -
It's a discarded cat claw. I just don't understand how it got into the bed room, where I put my feet getting in or out of bed. Kitty's not allowed in there. My guess is it must have caught under a shoe and come in that way.
Kitty, by the way, has found a new place to lie down. Not convenient for preparing food or eating. I guess it's because I'm doing things there, and, as all cats - curious. But she's learned a pot on the stove is HOT (OUCH! MEOWL!), and can be hot on the counter, too. She insists on being my personal taster, but discards everything as inedible (for her, that is). So I finally do get to eat my food. But she sometimes feels like lying around my neck while I eat. Nice company, and no problem.

Yes I knew as soon as I looked what the last post was. Would have answered but had some issue signing in.
With your Kitty you have found that wonderful unconditional love and acceptance. I feel sorry for people that have never had this in their life. Kitty is, as are all cats, an opinionated little furkid. She has wonderful personality and I can see what a great friend she is to you. Now, if you could just be taught to work in the kitchen unsupervised .................

Yes, she's great. Sometimes "helps" me type, or lies by the keyboard purring. Right now in my lap, purring after a nap. Talk of unconditional love and acceptance - you're so right!
