Description
A favorite place of rest. Looking at me working/playing at the computer. "Ha! I see you! Drat, you see me, too! Might as well take a snooze again." When Kitty's not sitting in my lap looking at the computer screen, she still wants to be close by, so this is her favorite resting place. Often curled up and purring or snoring. Lovable little Kitty.
I had the last 2 teeth pulled Tuesday afternoon. Didn't feel good afterwards. Lay down on the sofa. Kitty came, nuzzled my face, licked it (feels like sand paper, but still, I like it). Then lay down on me with her face against mine, purring. We both wound up sleeping 1 1/2 hour. She repeated the same yesterday, but gave me a good "belly massage" before settling down on my chest. I thought my guts would come out by behind - she's somewhere around 3 kilos / 6 1/2 pounds. Today, she's lying in as in the photo above.
Whoever said cats are dumb probably hasn't had one, or hasn't taken the time to get to know a cat. Kitty understands a lot, but acts in her own time and as she understands fit.

They also sense when the human is hurting or ill and do what they know how to bring comfort to you. They will also guard you as you sleep.

Bills? No, they're anatomy books and papers and news articles. Things tend to pile up, but I know where I have them. Worse is cleaning up and NOT finding where things are, so better let them lie. :-)

Lovely image! Mine will sleep on my lap when I'm at the computer; and every now and again she'll bat a key and mess up what I'm trying to write.

Ah, my Kitty does the same. Up on the kitchen table. After a while into my lap. Watch the computer screen. Sleep or request petting. Step on the keyboard on the way back onto the table. Lie down, Watch me. Sleep. Repeat the whole process. Sometimes lick my entire face. Sometimes grab with claws and bite (not hard, but it still hurts) - attack game mode. Get removed from kitchen in such case. Then start all over again.
