Description
Taken in Budapest. A statue of a medieval writer whose identity remains unknown. As far as I know, there is no connection to the hacker group named Anonymous.
From Wikipedia:
"Anonymus (Latin for "unnamed"; fl. late 12th century – early 13th century) was the notary and chronicler of a Hungarian King, probably Bela III. Little is known about him, but his latinized name began with P, as he referred to himself as "P. dictus magister".
Anonymus is famous for his work Gesta Hungarorum ("The Deeds of the Hungarians"), written in Latin around 1200. This work provides the most detailed history of the arrival of the Hungarians to the Carpathian Basin."

Fascinating history! Love this statue, it's not quite the usual monument. Well captured!

I like how Miklós Ligeti created this piece with the hooded head bowed down so it is difficult to see the face clearly yet the hands are well defined with the writing tool made very obvious. What a well designed piece that captures the anonymity of the person and at the same time the importance of his writing. Thanks for sharing this jewel.

Walking through your gallery it tells a lot of you, not being "anonymous". It shows wat you told to that cockatoo, being proud of your country and everything that history showed to you. I am impressed and seen more America then all these years before. Don't worry, people show common sense at the end. Your work shows what's it all about.

Wonderful lighting effects, patterns, and textures in this capture of the legendary Anonymus. He's even wearing a poncho with a hood to hide his identity.
