Description
We come to the end of chapter six and the 100th page of this story (104 pages if you count the prelude story-'Due Process') Again- acknowledgements to Terry Nation (August 8, 1930, -Died: March 9, 1997)the creator of both Davros and the Daleks and mainstay of dystopian british SF for many years. This chapter ends with a direct steal from the final scene of Genesis of the Daleks- the moment when Davros' evil creations turn on him. Never one to let being killed off get in the way of a story Davros was unearthed by his creations centuries later in the ruins of the bunker.
It seems curious that when his Daleks do dig the vile little creep out that he seems to be so forgiving of his peppar-pot psychochildren. Or was he? Perhaps there is some truth in what Davros is telling the court- maybe persuading the Daleks to strap on explosives and go blow up the movellan ship was simply his way of getting back at them for being such ungrateful swine?
Who knows- perhaps we shall learn more in the chapters to come.
