Description

The original captured 4/1/15, early morning, and postworked 3/8/16. Unless I change my mind somewhere down the line, this is the last in this scintillating series of the shape-shifting and torture variations of #333. It was fun while it lasted. Better viewed full size.

I really like this iteration, Harry; the sense of shifting layers of reality is strong and vibrant here. Well done, and what a stunning series overall!

I finally finished commenting on my birthday images, and now I'm beginning the slow process of commenting on images. It'll be slow, but you know I'll be in your gallery throughout the process. I'll do a few tonight before retiring, and I wanted to comment on this because it was the end of this amazing series, and because you did such a fascinating treatment of this. "Blendmode," I assume, just means using blends. (Helle uses PSP---I believe that's Print Shop Pro---instead of Photoshop, so maybe that's what they call blending in PSP.) In any case, she means you blended here; and, by so doing, you transformed these now-iconic roses into a series of ghosts mingled with real flowers. And you used contrasts of reds with those deep-green-blues, and some purples. It's almost a series of images in glass, laid over each other. And the center is almost a god or goddess, in a slight kaleidoscopic effect. Also, it goes from a dark 'ground' (bottom) to light (top). A beautiful end to this series. I hope to comment on others too, but you already know how much I loved this series. I'm sorry to see it go...
