My name is Jim Carter. I am retired. Why call myself pimanjc? I was a mathematician. Pi = 3.14, I'm a man, and JC are my initials.
I enjoy making renders with faeries, childrens' activities, and families. Many of my renders go back to my childhood memories or those newer adventures of my grandkids or relatives.
I also enjoy photography. Nature, sports, and especially my grandchildren, their friends, and their activities, are my favorites. I currently use an Nikon D7100. Garden Landscaping, Garden Railroading, RC-electronics, and Modeling are other interests.
I try making landscapes using Vue Complete, but am often frustrated. I wish I could find a local training class to take on Vue. Kindredsoul has been a lifesaver for me in terms of learning how to use vue. I enjoy working with Poser and Photoshop too. Often, I superimpose a poser figure onto a real photographic background. I hope you enjoy seeing my art...I will comment your artwork as much as I can....... I love browsing thru galleries to see others' art work. Some of you have amazing art pieces. No two are the same. Creativity abounds here. The quality of some of the landscapes astounds me.

I hope the fire was set on purpose.....otherwise is very dangerous. Made for a great photo at any rate.

Beautiful red sunset, I have a few shots back in the day of the haymen fire we had, red just like this one. Cool shot, Jim.

I got some beautiful shots of this until I started choking. The smoke was so thick here it looked like our woodland and pasture were on fire. I was so happy when the wind shifted out of the north!

on my way home traveling on I40 the storms were covering the sky at sunset. there was a narrow place that the sun came through and the clouds were ablaze with color. I was afraid to stop to take a picture, besides a 50mph(wind chill about 30F) wind blowing. my 4Runner is full of sand/dust and I am hoping for no paint damage. tomorrow I will wash it to survey the damage

Great shot of the smoky sunset!
I'm assuming this was not the normal burns that take place from time to time. Several years ago our photography club was on a field trip to Konza Prairie, and we stopped to take photos of a controlled burn that was being closely monitored.

OH! I do hope no people are harmed, but I assume, that some animals didnt go free. How sad it is. Hope it is under controle. But it is s beautiful shot.

This was supposed to be a controlled burn that got out of control when high winds suddenly developed. Sadly, numerous livestock, wild animals, and homes were also lost to the flames. Jim
