Description
This is Poindexter. He was an only last year, so needless to say he became rather spoiled. He loved to sit in my lap and eat bread. When It came time to let him go, I made the trip to the mayers house. There are several homes on lots of land here that belong to his family. This is why I can let animals go here. Poindexter explored all around. He came back to me only a few times to make sure all was OK. They have put food out for him along with the other resident groundhogs. Harley still lives under the mayers poarch. She had two kitts last year. So far, none seen this year. Poindexter is not shy about sitting on their porch along with Harley and looking in the windows until someone comes out with food.

Beautiful photo, Bev. It shows he's not afraid of people or the camera. And no zoom lens. I'm glad to hear he's getting along fine with his fellow "whistle pigs". Hope you've had a good Easter holiday. I had 4 services (including midnight mass) singing, so I'm still a bit tired. I'm looking forward to more photos. How is the spoiled eagle chick getting along?
