Description
Captured 3/26/16 @ 8:00 am, next to a curb about a half mile from home.
I've shown abandoned shoes before, but have no record now of how many since Renderosity screwed everything up with their stupid revamping several months back.
And the beloved Patty Duke died today.

Makes you wonder why anyone would just leave them for someone else to pick up. That is very sad about Patty Duke she gave us a lot of pleasure with her acting. ☺

Bet someone loved these shoes when they were new; I always wonder what leads someone to abandon shoes like this; maybe they were stolen? Cool shot, Harry!

yeah...you know, in all my viewings of your signature abandoned shoe shots, I never really wondered "why did people abandon these?" This is most fascinating, because the shoes themselves are unusual for adidas, because they're so widely opened, and they look more like casual shoes than running or walking shoes. But your shot is stunning because you brought out that deep pink, that eye popping white, and that muddy soiled black---all against one of your signature grounds, with terrific grainy detail and lights (like tiny shimmering spots). And you angled it uncannily: Terrific angle, capturing those flat rocks on the top and bottom corners. The contrasts are terrific. And you brought out the almost neon feel to the shoes! I just don't find these in my photography: They're there, mind you, Chicago has abandoned shoes: But I don't see them. Your eye sees so much I don't see. And then, I wouldn't know how to handle these if I did notice them. Terrific shot. (And hey, you got a comment from Pauldeleu---he comments on maybe 1 image every 6 weeks!) I love this!
