Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

...shouldn't walk around naked? Looks like a shop meant only for sober adults with no balance problems - kids & dogs need not apply. I am fascinated at what glass artists manage to create...

wicked and wild stuff in there

Should wear billowy cotton clothing, soft slippers, and be very, very careful. Lots of action in this cool capture, Marilyn. And you missed my Pink Hibiscus posting from yesterday.

I love glass art; this looks like a fun place to take a camera!

This looks very Chihulyistic to me. I love it.

Yes, with Katherine, this looks very Chihulyistic to me too! (Ala Chihuly, the great glass artist.) When seen from your pov, those glass thingies look like slimy bulbous creatures, who just emerged out of the slime. A literal riot of light and curvy forms. And your cutting out the floor makes it all the more surreal. Love it, terrific shot.
