Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Awww, and who could blame her? With a whole beach to run and bark and chase on? You ARE mean, LOL!!!!

Love the tufts of grass sticking up here: What a great sight, and just the kind of thing you find in your photos. Plus the man (I assume that's a man) and the dog out there---which seem way in the distance, even though this isn't that big an area. I love the sky as half the shot. And the shadows in the sand: wonderful evocation of the seaside. And it's funny that Odie wanted to go there so much: As Denise said, who could blame her? She was probably thinking, "you get to be with YOUR friends---what am I, chopped liver???" Love the shot, full view. And the long crop. Born of a real intimacy with the sea and its shores...
