Interesting that there are 11 of the graceful silver figures and the one remaining figure is in the foreground, with very creepy and gruesome texturing (wonder how you do it). I'd imagine you're thinking of the twelve months of the year; the first eleven have passed and become only fond memories, and now is the final month, the present, in which you face the stark reality of the world...
