A closeup of one of the flowers that can be seen in the foreground of my previous post from Cape Blanco. I have no idea what the name of it is... Please zoom.

I saw that one too. It's a dried flower from last year that somehow survived the winter storms. The plants that produce those flowers covered the hillsides above the beach there at Cape Blanco. Not sure what those plants are called.
