Description

Years back---2010--- Koosie left us in one day of Spring…and I couldn’t let go this date, without saying here, what I wanted to shout through the wind . Yes…always remembering YOU! your humor, your Art and your Heart:) and you live in a very special place in my mind and in my heart each day and forever! When I drew this portrait, Hans was alive and almost every night we were speaking in the 2D Forum and in one of those days, he did a break because he had to cut the hair and do the beard:) It was very late in the night already. I was so surprised, that when he was back, he did a screen shot for me to see. And I had a big laugh, because I saw a lot of beard and hair as before:) I was December 2009. and I begun doing this portrait as a surprise and a gift. It was close to Christmas time and I had to stop…meanwhile, soon, he was very sick and he sent me a wonderful gift and there was pencils there! He knew that I adored pencils. So, I finished this draw with those pencils, that I still have:) and I sent to him, finally my gift. He still could see it and told me that he liked :)! It was a great joy for me! Meanwhile, it has been always in very good hands:) I never showed it here, though there was not any reason for that. So, past year, I thought doing it…but in this day, I had a BIG fall and I broke a leg and a knee and had to be in a coming going with hospital doing tests for many days and had physiotherapy for months. But I was very lucky in all ! So, this year , that I always remember , I remembered still more! And I wanted to show it here to you all, because it was one of my first portraits, and Hans always pushed me for more and i have done that ! I am extremely grateful, because I knew you and i believe that wherever you are , you are seeing this! And smiling! ~~Love, ana *** I Wish everybody a wonderful SPRING with health and joy and I thank you once more, your wonderful support in my gallery, all this time!! It means the world to me:)) ! Be well and take care.

The HONOR and the PRIDE, is mine, dear Cat! The main reason that i never put here this drawing - i think- it was because i didn't asked him permission in the moment, due his condition of illness...and i never show a portrait without ask first.... but this time i asked it to you, because i wanted do it very much:) THANK YOU very much:)!

Oh Ana! You posted this wonderful portrait of our Koosie. What a beautiful and loving gesture. I am thinking about Koosie every so often and send him a warm thought to where ever he is, when I use his lovely watercolors and brushes he sent me. I have used them coluntless times and every time I fell so grateful and honoured for his gifts. He was loved by many friends. Me included. Thank you Dear Ana for this wonderful tribute.

...A thing that i didn't said in the Description and that i think it was a must. I am sorry that i didn't...but i think that Koosie will smile even more now:)) Koosie in the forum , had great fun mainly with his 'inventions'! The reason i titled this draw as i did...and the most wonderful thing it was that all his creations could work...:) he always studied all the details and explained how and what. And he had a dear partner on that and always at his side ! It was Martin - Groegnitram in Rosity - together, they built incredible and beautiful ''flying devices'' and they traveled for unknown places through the air! They flew with their imagination and they did all with fun and love ! and they felt truly, like 'childs in clouds' while doing this:))) and it was always a great fun, to watch to this, bit to bit, till these inventions ''worked'' properly!! and then, they greeted each other, promising another mysterious travelling soon...! Martin has Koosie deeply in his heart and Koosie always loved him much! I apologyse to Koosie and to Martin, because i was late saying this!

I also have to say, that Martin, as almost everybody that knows him know, had a heart attack years back. He recovered ! However, few time ago, he was warned by his doctor, that to prevent another similar event in a coming times, it was better to do a similar procedure, before it happened again. He wrote me, saying this and that he decided to do it did and that all run well and that he is ok now, Just in a 'RHEA' - a recovering place - and in May, he will be back home and will send news. I wish him all the luck and good recover! I am sure he will. I am sure that Hans would like me to tell all this and i apologyse from my heart, for not say this in the right time. Be well soon Martin:)

Your words are beautiful, and from your heart (I know that well), and so fitting for Hans. And your portrait is soft and magical, like a spirit. And you say this was one of your "first portraits"? Really? It looks like you've been making portraits for years! You captured a spirit, an "essence," in your drawing: Your whites are little miracles in the midst of your grays and blacks. You caught his gaze---that intense but gentle gaze he had. And of course, his whole face, and his "biblical prophet" appearance. Like he was actually Isaiah or Jeremiah from the bible. Beautiful whispering work, with real intensity and love. And a beautiful message too. (And btw, I understand trimming a beard and STILL having too much beard afterwards: I do it all the time.) I'm very grateful you did this, this year---you got me to do something too, and helped others remember him (including Cat---it's so good to see her here!), and to remember and all his wonderful gifts. Thank you, Ana, it's a beautiful dedi.

As for Martin: I'm so glad you posted this. I wish Martin all the best in his recovery. He's really had a lot of heavy medical stuff to deal with in the last several years. And I'm glad he did this procedure ahead of time, to prevent a recurrence of his past heart problems. Martin, if you're reading this, I send you all my healing wishes and love, and hope you get better, and back to normal soon. And yes, I remember vividly the work you did with Hans, the explosions of creativity and humor and subtlety that the 2 of you created, day after day. I just watched it from afar, knowing I could never do what you 2 did. I knew, when Hans passed, that you lost a true artistic brother. I send you all my best healing wishes, Martin. And thank you, Ana, for posting this. Martin is not on RR much anymore, but he gave this site some of its most beautiful art, and I hope he heals thoroughly, and soon.

A beautiful upload in every way, dear Ana...

I am in awe of so much talent ANA, with this drawing of your friend, 🎨 who unfortunately is no longer of this world. But he will never be forgotten, with so much love and warmth he still receives from everybody who comments here. He will live on and on, through his art alone, I never had the pleasure to get know Koosie, the way you all did - but I did take a good look at his gallery and liked his style - usually with humour thrown in, which I can appreciate, it put's a smile on my face and thanks goes to all of you.

Sorry to be so late in commenting, Dear Ana, but we are on the road traveling and I've been absent. Your portrait of Koosie is so soft and wonderful, and speaks so clearly of his personality! I remember how much I valued his lengthy comments (LOL!) ... sometimes I would get as much as two or three sentences ... but those were like gold! It's nice to think of him, and to see your lovely drawing, and remember ...

How time flies ... six years! We corresponded a lot during his final and really hard year. He asked me what he could send me for good memory and I asked him to send me a little box of watercolors and he sent me an absolute wonder: a most luxurious Rembrandt set in a wonderful wooden case. It was an amazing gift. After I'd expressed my gratitude and fear that would hardly be able to use it he said that he'd been walking past the shop window for over five years waiting until they reduced the price enough. However, Hans never used it. Nor do I. Just take it out from time to time to open and enjoy the look, smell and the memories about Coosie. He told me he sent you a set of crayons and pastels..

Amazing portrait, Ana! It caught my eye straight away.
