Description

Someone stacked these rocks on the edge of Donner Lake. This is one of my favorite places; this spot is right across the road from where my son used to live.

Perfect in black and white. Your sharpness and definition is wonderful to my eye; and I love the hard contrasts of dark and light, and of big and medium rocks with the stringy branches in the background. You cropped it for intensity and "cramming" (ie, everything together in a small space); and it brings us right into the shot. Excellent work, Marilyn. The black and white is wonderfully expressive.
