Description
The little prince is 3 weeks old here. I went up after work, and it was getting dark soon. He was fussing about looking for a snack that he might have missed. I watched mama sitting in another tree eating her supper. I believe this is the first time I have seen this. I also believe that the little pig is eating pretty much every bite that is brought to the nest. After he picked at the few scraps he could find, he did his "throw myself down" thing. He then fell asleep. As many animals as I deal with on a daily basis, they continue to show me new behavior. I have decided that the over educated people who will never admit that animals have feelings have lost the ability to see what is before their eyes.
I have been to busy to make another trip as of yet but I hope to go this weekend.

THANKS for taking me up on another photo of the little spoiled, er, I can't say brat, so I'll also have to stick to Prince! Your description of his behavior is so fun - just like a human child. Has eaten, thinks it's still hungry. Mom fleeing the nest so she can have some peace and quiet so she can eat. Then the little one, stuffed and tired, falls flat on his (?) face and falls asleep. So typical of human kids, too! I bet he kicks a tantrum when hungry - me, Me, ME! NOW! Talk of personality, compared with earlier broods! Thanks again for the fun photo and your narrative! The magpies around here are starting to get little ones, but it's still on the cool/cold side, so I wonder how they will fare. Fortunately, they are NOT rare birds here, so few surviving little ones one year will not affect the population. I'm waiting for crow and raven little ones to appear. Keep up the good work! :-)
My rating - as high as an eagle can fly! How's that?

What a cutie! It's a good thing he doesn't have a pram to throw things out of!
