In my life I have attended only two of these festive events; it was fun both times. Lucky you, to be living in a place where it's an occurrence that makes it a possibility more often than here! Excellent capture of this exalted lady and her attendants, Harry!

fine grouping in this, and angles too: It's a fine portrait of both 'posing' as well as people in motion. Ie, I really like how they seem to be stopping for you, and yet they're clearly in motion. And then there's the whole costumery---those costumes and all that embroidery on the front lady, the "queen,", and the colors on the right-most lady, etc. And I love the lady with the umbrella almost sneering. With modern people eating in the background. Very energetic light and clarity, and 3 great smiling faces, with that one lady looking like she's about to throw her umbrella at you, lol. (I don't think she was too thrilled with the whole matter...) A vibrant happy capture, Harry. Well, it's almost 1 a.m. here, so I'll have to go now. But this is a very bright place to stop for now...I wonder if those gowns are as hot as they look. The front lady had to be a wee bit hot in that getup...
