Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Beautiful tribute - May she rest in peace

Oh how horrible that she had such a hard fall. And how difficult for the family to have to take her off of life support. And how hard for you to relive a similar experience. Yet here you have posted such a truly gorgeous weeping flower. I am sending you a hug for morale support. I also wish for a peaceful passing for her.

yes, you had a deep loss not too long ago, and now this. I'm terribly sorry. It never gets easier to see this happen to someone you love. I know that a fall can be terrible, after a certain age; and so sudden. I wish her great peace in her passing, and I wish you comfort and peace as you deal with it; and all my wishes to Marcos who is losing a mother. Your words were very touching, and your thoughts about Marcos's mother passing into the arms of angels moved me to tears. Your image has deep beauty, too. My deepest condolences, and I hope you both find peace in the coming days and weeks...

Keep talking to her. Let her know how much she is loved and missed. Sometimes people can hear you even though they are in a coma. I am very sorry to hear of Marco's and your troubles. Hopefully you will find comfort in your memories and caring friends and family. A very fitting image. It is gorgeous.

I echo anahata.c in this most unfortunate event. The weeping hibiscus is most appropriate in this instance, Marilyn. Falls are high on the list of seniors' problems.
