Description
Taken at Shore Acres State Park. I posted a similar shot from a slightly different vantage point a couple of years ago. Once again, this is not the actual name of the beach, but the eroded sandstone forms on the coastline remind me very much of the biomechanical art of H.R. Giger...

We're in northern California right now, getting ready to head up the coast. Our "assignment" for today is to make a list of things we want to see and start making a plan. I don't know how Bill is going about doing HIS research, but I'M browsing your gallery for MY ideas! LOL! This is absolutely on the list. :)

first, I'm gonna spare you the usual "counter" jokes. (Giger counter?) (I know, his name is pronounced "gee-ger" in Deutsch, but still...) Also, I went, just now, to comment on the earlier shot from this locale, but guess what? I already commented on it. You know how I knew? Because mine was the longest freakin' comment on the page! (I look at my comments sometimes, and I think: People must think I either have the biggest ego on earth, or a serious problem finding a period. But hey, my heart's in it...) You caught the textures beautifully, as well as the swirls and dried seaweed look of the place. And your pov lets the shadow act as a frame to this beautiful expanse of primal beach. Also, there's an almost postcard-like feel to the water and sky. It looks ever so slightly atomic in spots. Which brings out the near fairy-tale feeling of this bony arcane place. A beautiful photo of a primal beautiful place.
