Description

Defender of the downtrodden. She's well equipped, so no messing with her. Captured back on 11/7/10, at a Renaissance Faire held at Felicita County Park, 742, in semi beautiful Escondido, California. Well worth a ZOOM. Note: This Faire is not to be confused with the one I attended, and posted photos from, at the Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area in semi beautiful Irwindale, California, on 4/27/14.

A lovely capture of this beautiful horse and I too would stay clear of the rider. ☺

She has a gorgeous steed, and does look like she can defend herself from anyone or anything; I like the white wizard with his dragon familiar behind her! What a great shot, Harry!

I'm with the above. And there's an almost metallic sheen to her horse: However you shot it or perfected it, you got an amazing sheen on that beast. Your composition puts her head right at the peak of the white tent, and, really, you have a group of peaks, from the porto-potties (if that's what they are) to the tents, her head, and the horse's ears. And the contrast of the silver (on her and her horse) with the 'white wizard', as Denise calls it, and the reds on either side, are striking. This faire was on a grounds where slopes seem to dominate. It makes for such a fascinating sight, because wherever you stand, it seems the land is rolling away at some point. A very well composed shot, with fine contrasts and massing. And that horse could be made of silk!
