Description
Captured back on 11/7/10, at a Renaissance Faire held at Felicita County Park, 742, in semi beautiful Escondido, California.
Worth a ZOOM.
Note: This Faire is not to be confused with the one I attended, and posted photos from, at the Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area in semi beautiful Irwindale, California, on 4/27/14.

Beautiful shot of this bird, which looks a lot like the military macaws at my zoo; excellent work!

One of the reasons this session is going slower is that I'm checking every image as I go---happy to say I've commented on a number of these in April. But I'm checking everyone, and that takes a bit of time....I love your commentary on the places around you ("semi beautiful Escondido"). Anyway, a striking profile of this complex bird: From this closeup, it's amazing how broken up his beak is. Like he's been eating porcelain or quartz. And that---what---ruffle over his beak; and the texture around his eye: A striking portrait of a complex animal face. And the colors behind him make a fine backdrop.
