Description

Penne, Tarn, France Penne castle is a castle of the twelfth century, built directly above the village, on an impressive rocky outcrop. The ruined castle is perched over 120 meters above the bend of the Aveyron river. This castle is opened to the public but still under restoration, scaffoldings can be seen in the photo. An impressive structure. I heard recently that there is in France a project where craftsmen build a castle, with those very means by which the time castles were built ... A fantastic photo, Jean-Claude!
