Crisp and well composed.

A nice centerpiece! Palm trees are lovely wherever they show up, and even prettier when wearing petunia (or geranium?) skirts!

Sorry I didn't get here until today, I'd hoped to get here on the weekend, but so much was going on, I didn't have the outlay of time (and concentration) that your work deserves. (On top of that, my air conditioning broke down, which was a joy. If I were in LA, I'd have burrowed 200 feet underground with the heat you guys get!) But that's just by way of apology. Picking up where I last left off...
The clarity on these two shots is striking, Harry. And a 'simple' centered shot of a tree becomes a din of leaf forms burgeoning around this central trunk. Denise speaks of the petunia (etc) skirts: Well put. But the power is in the profusion of leaf detail around this gritty, expressive trunk. And I like the two views, with the top one showing how much of a showpiece that tree is---fitting for a museum grounds---and the bottom taking us right into the center of the view. Striking clarity and light. Man you capture SCal light well. (We just don't get light like this.) A powerful duo of shots.
