Such a wonderful feeling here. I can feel the cool shade in the relaxing atmosphere.

I love shots like this, as you well know. Reminds me of the under the pier fotos I have, but this one has that wonderful light on top and that makes it especially appealing.

OK, I'd be happy to just live right there in the walkway. I love everything about this!

I'd never seen the word "stoa" outside of classical Greek architecture, and this is a perfect stoa. (You may have known that our word "stoic" comes from the same root, presumably because stoics taught or gathered in a stoa, or stoas---I don't know much more detail than that.) You caught the long perspective beautifully, along with the dappled light and shadow, and a deep restful feeling. I can see why Denise would be happy to live there (esp with all that's going on in her life at present). Very well composed, you show a real respect for the form; and the roof is generously included, with its very un-stone-like profusion of branches and leaves. Really, if it weren't for the background snippets, this could be an ancient structure. Fine shot, right in the tradition of your pergola and other similar series.
