For jocko500, Sharky, and anahata.c. Biggest ukulele I ever saw.
Captured 5/1/16, at the beautiful Victorian Fair, held on the beautiful grounds of the beautiful Homestead Museum in beautiful City of Industry, California.
I really don't know what he was doing at a Victorian fair. Definitely out of place.

Harry, I'm sorry I didn't see this---I haven't been keeping up with uploads, which is very unusual for me. Sorry I didn't catch it a couple days ago, since you were nice enough to make it for me, with Jock and Sharky. (Sharky's probably seen these guitarists, and Jock---well if anyone could paint this player, it would be him.) This is, in fact, not a ukulele---or I'd be very surprised it if were---it's a Hawaiian guitar, part of the category called "Lap-Slide Guitar": Ie, it's held in the lap---or on a table---and the player slides a metal bar across the strings to get that slide-y sweet, twangy sound. And yeah, lol, this definitely isn't Victorian. The shirt alone says "I'm not Victorian!!!" Very bright and eye-happy shots, I love the light and how it's intense in back, but so restful around the musician. And nice detail in the grass too (zoom's essential). Nice how the top shot is framed with people and their stuff, on the left, while the lower one is framed (ditto) on the right. And I like the bright parking lot as a background. Very sunny captures---in feel, not just in light---and another unusual musician in the many festive gatherings in your gallery. (He's even wearing the lei !) I'll be back for more soon, Harry, when I return to the site---forgive me not seeing this when it went up! (Loved the gazebos today too...)

Victorian fair? That's not one I've heard of, bet that was interesting. And while I imagine they were playing music in Hawaii during Victorian times, it's not something I'd immediately associate. A bit of a conundrum! Still, I'll bet it sounded nice and got everyone feeling happy. Excellent shots of this musician!

You sure capture a wonderful atmosphere in this post. I would love to listen to this Hawaiian guitar music.
