Description
Claude, I hope you have had a Happy Birthday. You expressed interest in visiting the archaeological site at Glanum. It is certainly worth a visit. Right next door to Glanum is St Paul de Mousol Monestery. Here is a little montage I made of that place. It is also worth a stop. It is an interesting place in itself, but made even more so by the fact that there is a lot of information and homage paid to Vincent Van Gogh because he lived there for a year as he underwent mental health therapies. There you can see views that he saw and painted both from his bedroom window and the window of a room near his bedroom that they allowed him to use as a studio when it was not in use by anyone else, but also views from the grounds and surrounding area when he was allowed to go out. Even if Van Gogh is not your favorite artist the monastery is worth the visit.
Perhaps by your next birthday you can come over this way again and see more of Provence. I would love that also because I am sure we would all get to see more of your amazingly artist photos.
Happy Birthday. :)

Thank you, Katherine. Mark didn't mention how belated his birthday wishes were - my birthday was over a month ago - but I appreciate the thought. I've never really made a big deal about birthdays (except for young kids, like my grandson).
And thanks for the travel tip on St Paul de Mousol - if I make it to Glanum, then I will certainly visit there as well. I'm generally not a fan of expressionist art, though I do very much like a few expressionists, such as Van Gogh & Edvard Munch...
