Description

I’m really sorry about not introducing myself yesterday. I wasn’t feeling well and needed to rest. The injuries I sustained during the war give me problems sometimes, and I need to be careful My name is Mirimar va Shawtila Mishtali. And no, I’m not going to finish the story Pt’this brought up the other day. I may love to gossip, but that story is not something that should be repeated. Really. There are plenty of stories I could tell you that are much more appropriate, but this isn’t the place for that. I’m supposed to be introducing myself. I’m a potions maker. I also used to help Thailyn with patchwork healing. I don’t have healing magic like he did. But I would help with things like bandaging or giving potions. It helped to have me around so he didn’t have to touch the patient so much. I would clean wounds or apply salves. If he did it, he’d read them the whole time. Once there was this one woman who had this rash that she’d ignored for ages. She didn’t even come to him for that. She also had Jerilotio. That’s like a cross between what you call pneumonia and the stomach flu. It’s very nasty, not something a healer wants to be reading frequently so I had to help this woman put this ointment on. It’s not easy to do since you have to get it under the scales. So the… MIRIMAR, YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO BE INTRODUCING YOURSELF, NOT TELLING STORIES. What? I am. I was just explaining what a healer’s assistant does. Anyway, after the war, it was pretty difficult for me to continue assisting with healing so I started helping Pt’this with his work, and once we moved to the palace, I helped in the nursery. I love kids. Pt’this and I wanted a huge family. If we could have, I think 5 or 6 kids would have been wonderful. 6 is quite huge for a dragon family. Most usually only have 2 or 3. When Kith told me about once boy he knew that had twelve brothers and sisters, I thought he was seeing double because of his drinking, but then Ann confirmed it. Can you imagine having so many kids? Wouldn’t it be wonderful? Unfortunately, I can’t have any. At least we got to raise Kith. He was a great kid. And like I said, we helped out in the palace with the royal family. It was always enjoyable to see them grow up. Like, one time when little Bacna was trying to learn to walk, Remmy started stealing my cane. Pt’this got mad at him because I fell but then we realized he was giving it to Bacna thinking it would help him like it helped me. Kith made him one. Then we realized two would be better for him. He was walking within months. There was also the time when Emeton’s father was little and… MIRIMAR, YOU’RE GOSSIPING AGAIN. I was just helping them understand. I KNOW, BUT WE’RE RUNNING OUT OF TIME. BESIDES, YOU NEVER TOLD SHUNATI ABOUT THAT TIME YOU AND THAILYN HEALED THOSE KIDS AT DAGON CASTLE Oh, that’s right. THANKS A LOT, PT’THIS NO PROBLEM, SHUNATI. YOU OWE ME.
