Hello, I’m Sir Dentrias Nimitinas va Sharzita Cormeliona Entista Chapado, Emissary of the Dragon High Council. Everyone calls me Nim. There’s not a lot to tell. I was a hermit for five hundred years. Now, I run a school for humans with the help of Sinta. It always bothered me that the majority of humans didn’t do much to educate their children. It started out as a school for the kids at the home. They’d started out going to the palace to be taught with the nobles’ kids, but there were problems with the kids not getting along and being at different places in education. Then a couple of servants expressed a desire for their kids to be allowed to attend. Of course, I said they could. Soon it was opened up to all the children in the city, though not that many attend yet. We have class every other day because many of the children are poor and have to work. Most were able to arrange things with their bosses to be able to work around classes and Sinta, or I have spoken with a few to help encourage them to do so. On the days I’m not at the school, I teach at the wizard’s college and am the head of the Augmenter department. An Augmenter is a special type of mage. We have the ability to manipulate magical energy in ways a mage can’t. We can change the flow of the energy, draw it to a new location or disperse it. We can transfer energy from one person to another. We can also absorb and magnify the energy, make it stronger. That allows us to cast spells beyond our mage strength. We can also do the same for other mages. We used to keep this a secret so that others couldn’t abuse our abilities. But we’ve found there are very few who can do that if we’ve had the proper training so we started the Augmenter department at the college. There are some that are still hiding, but we have several who we train. I’m also an artist. I’ve been drawing since I was twenty. That’s similar to a two-year-old for humans. My drawings weren’t that good back then, but it was more than the usual stick figures kids that age draw. And I have a perfect memory. I never forget anything. That can cause problems when I’ve been through something traumatic, but it helps with my teaching and emissary work. It also helps me remember important events the way they happened, not the way historians want us to remember them. And it allows me to see patterns in history to help us be aware of potential repeats we may want to avoid.
