If you’re from Torthoc, no, I’m not an elf. I’m human. If you’re from Earth, I’m part Chinese, not Japanese. I know, you weren’t going to ask, but I know you were wondering. It’s okay. I’m used to it. Like Andy, I was born on Earth, though I was born in Chicago. I wasn’t actually born within the city limits, but one of the suburbs. But if you’re like most people, you count most of northern Illinois as Chicago. But people seem to do that with the suburbs of most big cities. I’m a counselor. I started here on Earth working at a woman’s shelter and later I was hired by Sapphire to work at the home for abandoned and runaway children. I married Nim. He’s a great man, but it took a bit of getting used to him being a dragon. And while he was more familiar with humans than I was dragons, it took a while for him to get used to me too. My parents weren’t quite as good as Andy’s. But that’s understandable. Imagine what you would think to find out your daughter was marrying a man over 1200 years older than you that was a dragon. Plus they got a call claiming he was a murderer. It was a clear case of self-defense and an accident. But once they met him, they liked him. He’s the sweetest person you could ever meet.
