Description

I woke this morning with little hope... But as it happens, for once in my pretty pathetic life everything I wished and hoped for has come true! Even Camfoon resigning!!! Result! Now, once more as we used to be Britain can be Great Britain again.. Thank you people.. Thanks those few brave honest politicians that stood up and spoke out.. Thanks. Rob

Hi Rob! I haven't yet checked the news. I was almost scared to do so. I take it Great Britain will now be great again. Independence Day, 2016-06-24. Now I'll check the news. By the way, nice photo of the 3! Maybe less PC bull stifling expos at Duxford and other places! Now for some reconstructive work, and removal of sharia freaks. And, oh, interesting to hear how Camroon likes it on the dole. Keep up the good work! :-)

My rating - a 7 !

Stayed up watching the results all night and this has shaken a lot of people. Some changes will come pretty slowly but expect to see a lot of sour grapes in the next few weeks.

The way this has been fought I don't think there are many politicians that have much to be proud of right now or the media. I also agree with some that to a degree this vote was a protest about the increasing divide between the rich and poor of this country.

Re Mike: Agree, and as we have seen Camfoon has gone not the last I fully expect.. But as he had his nose so deep in the trough, see him get a nice well paid job very quickly in the EU.. The Dutch will be next it seems they are screaming for one now.. Can't say there is Politico I would 'trust' or call a 'Statesman' now, the only one with any credibility is IDS as he quit over not being able to do his job due to....yes you guessed it EU rules! Respect to him for that.. It will take time but we will stand tall again, just believe people, believe.... Rob

... From America (also via my BBC posting)... hang tough UK; you did the right thing rejecting the "new world order" stupidity and self-serving political rouges to take back your country and sovereignty... you can prevail against the sordid forces of self-serving ideological agendas that chorus the mantras of political correctness and nanny-state mentality. - Stand Strong - The world is on "NOTICE" against tyranny!- Alas, "No Pain - No Gain"... stand tall - more change will follow you soon!

Nice picture, Rob.

But I am not sure that this was a wise decision. Great Britain will never come back again. The Empire is gone and will never come back again. This was a decision of the old men over the wishes of the young folk in the UK. The UK hopes to get the same deal like Switzerland or Norway, but the EU is the bigger partner and the UK is the supplicant. Don't expect too much. And now you have a problem with Scotland. They want leave the UK and stay in the EU. It was a protest against the political UK-establishment but they destroyed their own future. Well, that's my opinion. We will see...

Things looked bleak and uncertain before. It's a New Battle of Britain every bit as existential as the last one. Bravo on having done the smart thing IMO. You will "get on with it" and sort it out as always.( Oh yes, very nice pic!)

What a great capture, Rob! And congratulations! Hail Britannia!

Now if we could get rid of all the flotsam and jetsam and get this country back on track....... But jeeeeze...... Have you seen our choices this time? Lord help us all......

"Independance" c'est un peu fort de café pour un pays qui a passé 2 siècles à soumettre la moitié du Monde ! Je rappelle à qui ne le saurait pas, qu'Elisbeth Saxe-Cobourg se prétend encore reine de l'Afrique du Sud, de l'Australie, du Canada, de la Nouvelle-Zélande, etc., .... et de France ! British humour, I presume !

It has been mentioned by myself on more than one occasion that the days of the 'Empire' are long gone and were on the way out before the Second World War.. All the above Countries except I believe Sth Africa are Commonwealth members and need not be that, and also need not have the Queen as a 'figurehead.. All are run by Presidents I believe. And it may also be noted that the French, Germans and Italians has (and have) Empires still.. So, enough Brit bashing please. Biggest does not mean only and being out of the EU does not mean not talking like two year olds.., Note leader's of EU!
