Description

The Sphinx Gate from "Die unendliche Geschichte" aka "The Neverending Story." This was the first gate that Atreyu had to pass through in order to make it to the Southern Oracle on his mission to rescue Fantastica (Fantasia) - and find a cure for the illness of The Childlike Empress. I built this in DAZ3D Studio 4.8 - using the Alchemy Chasm lights in 3Delight. Minimal postwork in Photoshop - a few variations layers with masks to get the final color effects in random places, and a Color Dodge layer with a few Deviney/Ron's Brushes for the center glows. The Sphinx Gate is a mish-mosh of Genesis (Legacy 5) model, the DAZ Griffin/Big Cat & Griffin Wings, AND the Gorgon Medusa Hair for V4. A stone shader was applied to everything and the background is actually the Millenium Cyclorama space backdrop for that eerie blackness everywhere. I had SO MUCH fun making this. Yes! The eyes glow. This was made by me, after I requested a Sphinx be made for future item requests in the DAZ Forums. Meh... I was feeling adventurous this weekend, so I decided to make the Sphinx myself instead.
