Description
Herman, the Prime Mover, navigates their little spaceship around some of the cities in the clouds.
The boys mouths are wide open with amazement. Things like this are only visions of science fiction
movie special effects labs, not something you would ever see up close in reality.
A blinking blue light at what looks like a landing site in one of the cities attracts Herman's
attention. He focuses in on it and they are soon solidly parked on a large platform.
Several figures emerge from a hangar sized door. As they approach, the boys are surprised to see
that they look very human. They are even dressed similarly to what they guys are wearing.
'See?' says Herman. 'I told you not to worry. You won't look out of place at all!'
They are escorted inside, down several long corridors and soon emerge into a huge room. It looks
like a dining area. They are directed to sit down at one of the tables. Herman does all the talking.
The boys are amazed they are able to understand the conversation. Herman sends a mental message to
them, letting them know he has opened up dormant areas of their brains so they will have no trouble
understanding what is going on. Both boys look at each other in amazement. Mental telepathy?
Soon a small group of individuals surround the table. The boys are shocked when a centaur walks up
and starts taking over the conversation.
'He must be their leader!' whispers Jeremy to Kyle.
'Shh! We need to listen so we don't miss anything. We sure will have a lot to discuss tonight!'
says Kyle.
As the discussions proceed, the boys learn a great deal about the planet they are on. The centaur
is one of the historian/scientists of this race. He gives them a quick rundown on their planets and
various races. Herman has let them know they have stumbled into their part of space from another
sector in the galaxy. He doesn't let them know he is 'the Prime Mover.'
The story of this race is relayed as follows; After going through the various stages of evolution,
the prime race developed strong community connections. Everyone in the group was treated as an
equal. As one group discovered another group, they soon learned that this community strength was
universal on the first planet. With that as the basis of their social structure, they soon learned
that everyone that was capable of working had an ingrained desire to do what was best for the
group/community. This aspect of their character stayed with them as they continued to evolve.
After several millennia, their science had evolved to the point that they were able to tackle and
conquer space. All the while, they had paid close attention to their responsibilities to each
other and to the planet they lived on. Mutual respect was the prime directive and it produced
amazing results.
They developed the technology to float their cities in the sky so they wouldn't clutter the
beautiful landscape. Thus, the land, air and water remained clear and pristine for everyone to
enjoy, animals and sentients.
As they conquered space, they encountered other species and discovered that they too were of the
same mind set as the prime race with regards to respect and love of community. As the millennia
progressed, they discovered and blended in with many more planets. Before long with this huge and
growing population, they developed the ability to create new worlds.
It has been several millennia since their last discovery of any new habital planets. But in that
time, they have created many new planets of their own design. Their alliance has grown to 270
planets. Everyone is content within their society. Everyone is well fed, with plenty of mental
challenges to keep their minds alert and active. Their populations on all the various planets
stay in balance with available resources. No one asks for more than anyone else and everyone
is happy to lend a helping hand when someone else needs it. The concept of any kind of violence
or war is totally foreign to them. A most amazing group of races and planets.
After a lengthy discussion, Herman tells these people just a little bit about what he has
encountered on earth. He mind orders the boys not to say anything about their planet, leaving
them with the warning he doesn't want to corrupt these people with barbaric earth ideas.
The New Caledonians treat them with all the respect they give each other. They are provided
with a fine set of rooms with many amenities. The one that really blows the boys minds is the
food replicator. 'I never thought anything like this would ever exist!' exclaims Jeremy.
'Neither did I!' says Kyle. 'This might explain why there is no hunger on any of the planets
and why they are able to leave their planets looking like gardens of Eden!'
'You might have something there.' says Herman.
