Description
After a restful night, Herman, the Prime Mover, and his two new acquaintances, Jeremy and Kyle
take morning showers and put on clean clothes that Herman has created for them. He isn't using
much imagination since they are the same ones they wore the day before. Just nice, clean and fresh.
Once dressed and alert, they have the food replicator prepare them a nice breakfast. The
conversation is animated and intelligent, something the boys hadn't thought they were capable of.
They no sooner finish their morning meal when the Centaur knocks at their door and tells them that
he would like to show them the planet below, if they are interested. Of course the boys are. Herman
will have no surprises but will enjoy the experience of watching the boys learn about what a planet
should look like.
They get the coordinates from the centaur and get aboard their space ship. The scientist have had
a happy time looking at the spaceship while Herman and the boys have had their meetings. They
haven't learned too much, Herman would want to give away any of his secrets to ruin their
evolutionary curve. But he has allowed them enough access to learn that the spaceship meets with
all their requirements for not disturbing the environment. The big one is that it doesn't emit any
pollution of any kind. It just uses natural forces to propel itself wherever Herman wants to go,
whenever he wants to go.
Herman flies around the planet for awhile before heading for the coordinates the centaur gave him.
The boys are amazed to see endless miles of pristine forests, lakes, oceans and mountains. Not a
single building anywhere. Great herds of animals roam about below them undisturbed by sentient
activity. Every once in awhile they do see where some groups have set up small tent encampments but
they haven't disturbed the environment and it looks like they are very careful not to.
After about an hour touring the planet, Herman locks onto the centaur's coordinates and before they
know it, a fine looking pavilion tent looms down below them.
'This is the place, I guess. Oh yes, I see our centaur friend down there now.' says Herman.
They softly touch down on the soil in front of the tent. What a magnificent tent it is. The boys
remark at the wonderful patterns on it. The centaur and his contingent greet Herman and the boys.
After polite introductions, the centaur leads them all into the pavilion where a wonderful banquet
has been laid out. They all feast on the wonderful meal that the replicator has prepared.
Talk returns to more history of these people and their ability to have evolved so differently from
the people on earth. Herman tells a vague version of the story of earth's Adam and Eve and uses
that to explain why these earth boys are just a bit different from the inhabitants of New Caledonia.
The centaur relays a similar story but in this one, the Adam and Eve resist the force trying to
make them do wrong and they remain in the Garden of Eden and the good graces of their creator.
Herman smiles inwardly at that one. For he was there and remembers well all the details. So they
talk about the 270 planets and the centaur tells them it takes about 100 of their standard years
to complete the assembly of a new planet. This planet they are on is the most recent construction.
You can tell because the trees behind them are still not matured. But it won't take them long to
achieve full growth in this fertile environment.
As for all the animals and plant life, they have been produced from a giant seed bank their
alliance has. They can seed a planet with the right dna and by the end of the 100 years, there is
an abundance of plant, animal and insect life more than sufficient to maintain the integrity of
the new planet and allow it to be inhabited by their people.
Once the planet has been established, the movement of the people begins. First the construction
crews arrive and build the floating cities. Once they complete the first one, the people
designated to migrate to the new planet begin moving in. With the construction of the first city,
construction the next ones goes fairly quickly with each new wave of inhabitants adding their
skills to the construction process. In that way, any temporary excess populations booms on any
of the other planets can be tapped off and moved into a new environment and help maintain the
stability of all the planets.
The main reason for keeping the planet below so pristine is to give the population a place to
pursue recreational adventures. It keeps their minds sharp and gives them incentives to always
pursue greater and greater achievement in mental acuity and scientific understanding.
After a day on the planet, Herman lets the boys know they have to move on to the next destination.
They all bid a fond farewell to the centaur and the other new friends they have made this day.
Once in the ship, it doesn't take long before this planet disappears below them. And again, in
the blink of the eye, they are at their next destination.

Very interesting chapter and great image. I wonder if they will create a planet where hunting is allowed (not for sport but for meat)?
