Description

Taken at Shuttleworth's Military Pageant.. This will be the last time its flown it the UK aside from Legends as its going to Norway after that.. And as a farewell, these are the best photos I've ever managed of it.. It IS an original, with a Argus engine and flew during the war with the Luftwaffe. This shot was taken while it was still in the air....honestly! It performed a dogfight with a Sea Hurricane now.. I'd like to see Legends do that.... Yeah right. By the way, the Hurricane didn't get on its tail... Rob

Hey! Where's Rommel? He flew over the front lines in north Africa in one of these, and also directed some of the fighting from it. On one occasion his pilot accidentally landed beside a British unit (due to poor vision caused by dust). How both sides were surprised! Rommel got away with a bit of a fright and his plane with a few British holes to cork up! Nice photo of this little one. Very versatile. Perhaps more photo chances in the future? :-)
