"Standing on the outside - looking in !" - it's today's BIRTHDAY theme for SONJA (JuliSonne), also known as Julchen to her friends and let me elaborate a bit... it is her birthday today (7/7) in OZ, of course just a few hours backwards, (because we live in the future) and you find yourself in Berlin, Germany.

We, Jeff and I, are wishing you a most memorable ~*~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY JULCHEN ~*~ with all the trimmings (!) and here is CHEERS to another lap of the Sun/Sonne and hoping to see you in the land of OZ very soon... where we will catch up with more celebrations, no doubt !

BTW - these flowers are called Abutilon, also known as Chinese Lantern, if you are interested in flora ;)

Oh what a fabulous flowers for 'our' dear Julchen! Indeed, it is as if they are waiting for her. How wonderful that Julchen comes to visit you. I always look forward to returning to your gallery, because it's always fresh, vivid, upbeat, creative and surprising. You always get 'newness' in your work. That can't be easy, given the burdens of your every day, but you do it, and it's always very inviting and infectious.
I don't know why I didn't comment on this before---but it's a beautiful dedi to your friend, and I can see she really loved it. Did she come to Oz since then? Actually, if she's in Berlin, she's best off coming in January, where you have heat. Berlin does NOT have heat in January. (I assume it's more like Chicago.)
Your photo feels introspective, and it's also a reflection-flower shot, where we see it in glass as well as in 'person'. Beautifully done. And you made a transparent frame, which makes it seem like a mirror, or a piece of art behind glass. (Your design sense, once more.) And the flowers are seen in side view more than front, and that makes them appear "shy"---silly thing to say, but the shot does feel introspective. With sweet shadow and light. A beautiful piece for your friend, Juli/Julchen. Hope you get to see her in person!
