Description

When this turned up, we heard it arrive behind the field no-one was paying much attention the French idiot who drones over the entire show, not that many do.. And, he actually tried not to claim he knew everything about this aircraft.. Not that he does about any others.. Anyway, at last Legends has maybe realised that 'Legends' does not stop at the end of WW2.. A Legend (or like this a pairing) is a Legend.. Now, every American here will know the F-22 Raptor.. We don't get them here much.. Once a year for RIAT if we are lucky.. This year we are lucky and as RIAT is the same week as Legends somehow they managed to get the team to appear at Legends.. This is let we add a major coup, it is appearing at only one other event in Europe!!! Then.. after the traditional flypasts, impressive enough, the Raptor and Mustang 'Miss Helen', flew towards the crowd did a split S, and the Raptor did an edited show.. Oh please Legends, MORE like this (Sea Vixen, drakken, Viggen etc).. I could list them endlessly.. Now details, photo has gone through photoshop and Akvis to get this detail for you.. The Raptor is from the 1st Fighter Wing in the U.S. Its a F-22A , It was such a late addition that no details are even in the Legends book for the show!! Once more, Zoom is an option.. AND, final point.. The Raptor was closer that the Spitfires (Health & Safety rules). Rob

You made a major misstatement on this one. "Now, every American here will know the F-22 Raptor" As an American, I could tell you the majority would have no idea what this plane is. I am sorry to say the average American is just plain stupid and self absorbed and addicted to social media.

Niiiiice one, Rob! That Raptor still looks like something out of Star Wars.. A truly kick-a$$ shot of two kick-a$$ planes!

Sadly, I concur with Rick....

This is what is meant by Chaos Theory. For a time it seemed that a P-51 was unbeatable and even that could almost not be achieved. Then one day another paradigm appeared but not quickly. It seemed that combat had forced the guns out of the planes for head on passes. 1965 I first learned about Toss Bomb Computers. Desert Storm had Tornados doing extreme low level without the runway penetration munitions (RPM) that had devastated the Egyptian Air Force.
