Description
A view of Mt. Rainier from the Alta Vista Trail. This is one of several trails that begin from a big parking lot at Paradise Lodge at the southern end of the park. All of the trails are fairly steep & were covered with large patches of snow like the ones in this photo when we were there. To preserve the plant life that grows in the meadows, hikers are asked to walk only on designated trails or on the snow...
