Description
A view of one of the glaciers at Mt. Rainier, taken at close to the maximum zoom on my camera.
"Mount Rainier has the largest number of glaciers on a single peak anywhere in the contiguous United States. The 25 glaciers have a combined area of 90 square kilometers (35 square miles), which means that almost 10% of the park is covered by glacier. The combined volume of the glaciers is estimated to be 4.2 cubic kilometers (1.0 cubic miles)."
Please zoom.
