Description

Captured way back on 9/6/05, early morning, somewhere within the vast circumference of the neighborhood. This shot is one of a treasure trove of flower photos I recently discovered, snapped during 2005 and 2006. Back then I didn't know any better and recorded my stuff in low resolution, a faux pas I've been doomed to correct ever since. You'll notice it stuck out its tongue while being photographed. And I almost titled it a zinnia, they are so close in appearance. That would have been embarrassing.

OH! I love these flowers. Had them in my school garden, when I was a little school girl :) Wonderful macro, Harry.

So lovely in all its pinkness...and to me it looks like it's casually scratching a little itch. Beautiful!

I wanted to acknowledge your efforts with older shots, because what you've posted has been vivid and beautiful. I can understand about re-working old shots, with choices that you now regret. (I feel that with shots I took a month ago.) But you brought out the sensual, radiating lines of this beauty, with the 'rays' bursting from the center. And I love the 'tongue', as well as the way the flower drops into the shot from above. Cropped just right. Beautiful shot. You're doing a terrific job resuscitating these oldies. And very fine yellows in the background too---they're luminous.
