Three species of stick insects are present in France. they are all harmless and mimetics: stick insects resemble twigs and are difficult to observe, despite their size (about 10 cm), especially as they move very little. That of this photo and the next (larger view) is probably a Gallic stick insect (Clonopsis gallica) See close-up on my next image. Trois espèces de phasmes sont présentes en France. elle sont toutes inoffensives et mimétiques: les phasmes ressemblent à des brindilles et sont difficilement observables malgré leur taille ( environ 10 cm ), d'autant qu'ils se déplacent très peu. Celui de cette photo et de la suivante (un gros plan) est probablement un phasme gaulois (Clonopsis gallica) Gros-plan sur l'image suivante. Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200
