Description

Scarse swallowtail butterfly (Iphiclides podalirius) It is a great vaguely triangular butterfly with a tail, with a wingspan of 50 to 70 mm (the male is smaller than the female) and recognized by its great gliding flights. It flies from late March to September. It has one, two, or three generations per year. Can be seen in flowery places: gardens, orchards, light woods, hills, mountains and up to two thousand meters. It is migratory in northern Europe Flambé (Iphiclides podalirius) Le flambé est un grand papillon de forme vaguement triangulaire possédant une queue, d'une envergure de 50 à 70 mm (le mâle est plus petit que la femelle) et reconnaissable à ses grands vols planés.Il vole de fin mars à septembre. Il a une, deux, ou trois générations par an. On peut le voir dans des lieux fleuris: jardins, vergers, bois clairs, collines, montagnes et ce jusqu'à deux mille mètres.
