Description
Greetings,
Sorry about the sky, this would without doubt have been a great shot..
On finals, Flying Legends 2016..
Built in 1942 this has post restoration, had a colourful history..
In September 2005 she flew from Britain to Malta and was the first Hurricane to fly over the island since the War.. This was in the company of a Spitfire.. While Over Valletta 10,000's of people turned out.. Such was the attraction of the aircraft a 24 hour guard had to placed on them.. They then attended the Malta airshow.. They have returned since..

No excuses Rob! That sky is what gives you such fantastic lighting - we can see every detail. And your following of the plane is phenomenal! It's as thought it were standing still and everything else is moving, fast. Being so close requires quite a bit of steady hand and good eye, and fast shutter finger with no shake. This is phenomenally good for such close range! Keep up the good work! :-)

Another superb shot of one of my favorite planes.

Excellent shot Rob. Your camera may be heavy but you've got a well practiced hand at this sort of thing. Like seeing the pilot up close too.

Very very well taken !!!!

Nice, crisp detail!
The Spitfire may have got all the glory, with the Hurri considered the "ugly sister"... but it's all relative. She's not an ugly bird at all!

This is a no shadows sky of the type used for locomotive first erection photos.
