Description

Fourth flight up today.. Lucky again, just.. Hope the holes in the wing aren't too bad.. Try not to bounce, not sure about the undercarriage, might be leaking fluid.. Tired.. Damn, they keep coming.. Must try to get a few hours kip.. Whoa, steady the wings.. Nearly home......... Supermarine Spitfire IA as basic as can be, the oldest airworthy Spitfire in the world.. Duxford WAS the first field to get Spitfires.. And, it was these.. Legends were made here, Legends still fly.. You can feel it it everywhere... Rob

Plane in sharp focus, background motion blur, just like it should be in a pro-photo! And thanks for the reminder - Duxford was first! Keep up the good work! The text, as if they're on the way home from an encounter with Me109s - nice job on that one. :-)

"Never was so much owed by so many to so few." Always like your passion...it reflects in your photography.

The Hurri's prettier sister! (not that the Hurri was actually ugly... all things being relative).

Great shot, love the angle. The text adds a lot too. He might be out of the fight (for now), but until he's rolled to a stop he's not totally out of the woods! The Spitfire required care and focus on the ground, due to the narrow undercarriage.

I needed Harry Hawker to keep me in the modelling rez. Kid Stuff is nothing to be sneezed at.
