Description

Flying Legends and 'Rolling Thunder' was back in town with another selection of serious U.S. hardware! This is obviously a truck (3.5?) but look at the quad A.A .5 guns(?) set up lol Just the thing for clearing traffic huh? But what is it? Help? Rob P.S. More of this stuff if you want and they have some brilliant gear! Rob

Maxidyne is correct. It's a WWII GMC Deuce and a Half with a M45 quad .50 mount. I've seen this type of lash-up on later model USA trucks in Vietnam. Probably not surprising if it was used in WWII.

The era of guns. It never closes. It lives on the face to face of daily civilian life.

A stop-gap for lack of half-tracks? Nice photo of an unusual setup. Yes, lease more photos of ground vehicles, too. Keep up the good work! :-)

You will see a quad .50 in an image of the Remagen Bridge. Put there to discourage the locals from bombing it. Also, can't recall the program, recently found a show about restoring one of these to working condition. It made some noise. 😁
